Danny Gene Preece

Danny Gene Preece, 66, of Delbarton, West Virginia departed this life on Thursday, November 2, 2023.

He was born on October 23, 1957, in South Williamson, Kentucky the son of Harmon (Snook) and Elva (Spivey) Preece.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Wesley Preece, and Sister Sharon Rasbury.

Danny was a proud graduate of Belfry High School, he went on to work as an underground coal miner where he spent 20 plus years. He spent most of his career working for Preece Coal. In his free time he loved to hunt, fish, ride four-wheelers and attend church at 5 and 6 Holden Freewill Baptist. Of all the things Danny loved to do his favorite was spending time with his family and his grandkids.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 43 years, Mary Preece. Children; Christy (Teddy) Hall of Delbarton, Angela (Adam) Andonian of Raleigh, NC. Grandchildren; Justin (Hannah Stacy) Hall, Zachary Hall, Katie Hall, Adriana and Amelia Andonian. Sisters; Julie (Kevin) Baird of Oklahoma and Betty Preece of Florida. Father and Mother in Law; James and Lilly Jude. Brother in Laws; David (Betty) Jude, Eddie (Larita) Jude, and Jason Jude. Special Friend; Steve Workman and a Host of Nieces and Nephews that he loved dearly.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 6, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00pm at Colegrove Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 1:00pm at Colegrove Funeral Home Chapel.

With Eddie Layne (Monday) and Larry Light (Tuesday) Officiating. Burial will follow in the Chafin-Curry Family Cemetery in Lenore, West Virginia. He will be carried to his final resting place by his family.
