Leslie Dawn (May) Music

Leslie (May) Music, 49, of Delbarton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on July 2nd, 2023.
She was born December 31st, 1973, in Columbus, OH, the Daughter of Larry May and Mary Ann (Tackett) May.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 26 years Luke Music (they did everything together), uncle Donald Tackett Jr., Billy Ray May, Jeff (Karen) May Jr. Paternal grandparents Elder Jeff and Garline May, and maternal grandparents Donald and Lily Tackett, and brother-in-law William Fred Music Jr.
Leslie was a devoted teacher at Lenore K-8 who loved and cherished her students. Before her career as a teacher, she was a bank teller at the Bank of Mingo for 10 years, where she cultivated life long friendships and achieved her goal of getting her teaching degree. She was loved and respected by her family, co-workers, students, and community. The most important thing in her life was her family, and the people she surrounded herself with. She prided herself on being a hard worker, a great friend, and an exceptional mother.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jillian and Julianna Music, parents, Larry and Mary Ann May, brothers, Larry Richard (Gamble) May, Michael (Cassie) May, and Jason (Jennifer) May, uncle; Mike (Brenda) Tackett, aunt Mary Ann (Barry) Dempsey, Earsie Tackett and all of her beautiful nieces and nephews and their babies, mother and father-in-law William Fred and Sarah Ann Music and the women who inspired her and were like her own sisters, Heather (Marcum) Robinson, Jimi Bailey, Sarah (Carey) Rayser, Lola (Lackey) Preece, and Katie (Lackey) Booten. Pallbearers include Ethan May, Bobby May, PJ Harris, Brandon Butcher, Curtis Goble, Thomas Ray, Kyle Rayser.
