Luke Music, 48, of Delbarton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2023.
He was born February 19, 1975, in South Williamson, KY, the son of William Fred Music and Sarah Ann Music.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William Fred Music Jr., maternal grandparents, James William and Mary Chafin, paternal grandparents, Lucion and Jean Music, uncles, James Jr. and Freddy Joe Hignite, Steve “Toe” Carey, Jb Stafford and aunts, Gloria Davis and Nettie Carey.
Luke was a Mingo County School Bus Driver for 20 years. He was deeply loved by his family, co-workers, students, and community. Luke made an impact on the lives of many people throughout his career. He was a lover of music and enjoyed sitting on his back porch and playing his guitar. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, but more than anything, he loved to spend time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 26 years, Leslie Music, daughters, Jillian and Julianna Music, parents, William Fred Music and Sarah Ann Music, uncles, Kenneth Davis, Lester (Veronica) Hignite, Bobby (Pam) Hignite, George (Teresa) Hignite, aunts, Vina Hignite, Brenda (Winfield) Collins, Deanna Stafford, and cousin, Sarah Carey-Rayser, who was like a sister to him. Brother-in-law and best friend, Jason May, who has stayed by his side for the last year.
Services will be held Sunday March 19, 2023, at Colegrove Funeral Home at 12:00pm with Cornelius Lackey and James Ed. Baisden officiating. Burial will follow in the Chafin Family Cemetery in Lenore, WV.
Visitation will be Saturday March 18, 2023, at Colegrove Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
Pallbearers will be Steve Carey, Kyle Rayser, Raney Davis, Rob Channell, Jeremy Booten, and Jackie Hundley.
