Willis Duncan

Willis Duncan, 65, of Naugatuck, WV, departed this life on January 15th, 2022 at his residence.

He was born October 29th, 1956 in Naugatuck, West Virginia, the son of Charles “Bear” Ross and Mother Clara Ross Reynolds. He was later adopted by his grandparents Willis and Rebecca Duncan.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debbie Duncan, his parents, adopted parents, son Brian (Willis) Duncan and brother Charles Ross.

Willis attended Kermit High School. He served in the Army National Guard. He obtained a certification in HVAC from Mayo Vocational Technical School, He worked in the coal mines for 43 years. He was a talented electrician and worked at many of the mines in our area. He ran the fishing pond, Lake Sheridan, in Naugatuck. Willis loved to be outdoors. He liked to hunt, fish, watch Nascar and drag racing. He also was a great water skier and loved to spend time boating.

Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his Daughter Melinda (Brian) Blankenship of Inez Ky, Son Moses (Brandy) Ailiff of Morgantown, Son Jonathan (Amanda) Duncan of Belfry Ky, Sister Christine (Dave) Pilot of Washington State, Brother Timothy Ross of Las Vegas, Brother Mark (Linda) Ross of Florida, Sister Crystal Lynn Ross  of Las Vegas, Sister Kelly (David) Parsons also of Las Vegas, NV. Step father Bill Reynolds, Grandchildren include Ashley Coleman, Katie Blankenship, Brayden Blankenship, Aurora Ailiff, Owen Ailiff, Alex Ailiff, Bryer Ailiff, Landon Ailiff, Lila Duncan, Kamryn Duncan, Emersyn Duncan, Two great grandsons Levi Coleman, Waylon Ailiffand and one great granddaughter Lakyn Ailiff.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 21st , 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Colegrove Funeral Home Chapel, of Lenore WV

Services will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at Colegrove Funeral Home Chapel with Walter Marcum and Mark Ross officiating. Burial will follow at the Family Cemetery in Naugatuck.

Pallbearers will be Brian Blankenship, Terry Simpson, Jessie Ross, Marshall Marcum, Timmy Slone, Johnny Moore, Danny Mills, Harlen Lee Chaffin, Chad Chaffin, John Varney, Cody Varney
